LET THE DVLA KNOW

To scrap your car without a V5C logbook, first, take the vehicle to a scrapyard, where you will need to present a photo ID.

Inform the DVLA that you are scrapping the car by providing your full name, address, contact number, and details about the vehicle and the scrapyard.

The scrapyard staff will then complete a 'no logbook' authorization form, granting them permission to scrap your car without a logbook.

INFORM THE DVLA

When scrapping a car without a V5C logbook, it is essential to inform the DVLA of your intentions and provide relevant details.

You should include the date of sale or transfer, the scrap dealer's name, address, and VAT number, along with your and the collector's signatures.

After completing this information, send the letter to DVLA, Swansea, SA99 1AR, to ensure you are legally compliant.
